"The Tomeraider e-book reader software has a very efficient indexing system and supports highly compressed files...Tomeraider3, an e-Book reader that has a remarkably good indexing system."
Martin A. Regtien, Editor-in-Chief, DigitalReviews.net
"Fact is, I LOVE the TomeRaider format. Bought the first version when it came out years ago. It's still one of my favourite programs on any PPC"
E vening Standard, London
"The only Psion program currently handling e-texts is TomeRaider (ho ho) which you can grab for a free trail from www.tomeraider.com. Lightning speed makes it ideal for searching reference works. As a bonus, you can create your own compressed e-texts. The selection of books is certainly eclectic, ranging from Trollope to Tarzan via the Holy Koran (In French, naturally)."
PalmUser magazine, issue 4
"Once set up, however far apart in the database bookmarks happen to be, jumping between them is instantaneous - very impressive when you consider the size of the file being handled and a good demonstration of TomeRaider`s high-performance indexing technology.
Compressing large reference databases is an idea whose time has come. The reduced file sizes, in conjunction with the larger capacity of modern Palm OS handhelds, make possible applications which were science fiction only a few years ago. For those that remember the classic Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, browsing the TomeRaider download page and seeing the Project Galactic Guide (1.7MB) is more than a little thought provoking."
Christopher Coulter on PalmGear

Excellent. This is simply one of the greatest tools out for the Palm now. Very very handy for large amounts of reference material. But even for eBooks or other such documentation the ability to have subdivisions is a winner. The indexing compression is farrrr better. Just don't use this powerful tool as another run-of-the-mill Palm Doc viewer when it has so much more to offer. The markup conventions are easy to learn and for 90% of the population a simple
Stefan Smith, Editor-in-Chief, TUCOWS PDA
"EPOC based devices are the ultimate tools for the mobile professional. With the capacity of Compact Flash cards increasing almost by the day, the electronic library in your pocket is no longer a dream! TomeRaider has quickly established itself as a leading proprietary format on the EPOC platform for distributing electronic reference materials of all kinds. Already, there is a growing library of TomeRaider texts and TomeBinder allows you to easily create your own files. One of the few Highly Recommended applications for the EPOC platform during 1999."
Byron Collins, editor Byron's eBook Emporium
TomeRaider's ease of use, smart indexing & quick access to content, HTML support for text, Cross-Platform, makes it a great tool for your PDA / Handheld eBook Authoring needs.
Reviewer Jody Armstrong, writing for 3Lib
"Tome Raider's file format and design is very, very clever, and data is accessed instantly. Even on a 12 megabyte database, with 120,000 entries, going from any record to another took absolutely no time at all. Very impressive. Another advantage of TomeRaider is that, like Data, there is no file size limitation, meaning that you can hold immense files like encyclopedias and dictionaries... At £15 this is a bargain and certainly the best example of innovative programming for a while on the Psion platform. Certainly until now, doing what TomeRaider achieves was impossible on any handheld." Read the full review
Reviewer Alan Barlow, writing for FoxPop
"This is wonderful…anyone who regularly uses TomeRaider on the Series 5 will know how useful it is. Imagine a colour screen, holding twice as much text, without the poor screen quality of the s5 – albeit improved somewhat on the s5mx, and I am sure you will agree that this is a mouth-watering prospect, and here it is, large as life. Congratulations to Sabrina Kovax and Steve Jones for bringing what was already a great application on the Series 5 into a marvel on the Series 7." Read the full review

"700 registrations in two months is a fantastic result, and shows just how popular this app is - congratulations to Steve and Sabrina for a) finding and filling a gap in the EPOC software base, and b) for doing it so well."
Fox Pop Editor, Elisabeth Liddell
"The Fascinating and original TomeRaider..."
User Adrian Brad via E-Mail
"It was impressive enough that TomeRaider can provide access to data files that would otherwise be too large to use on my Psion. It was even impressive that more and more documents are becoming available all the time.
For me, the REAL power of TomeRaider is the ability to create my own data files. I've already converted several of my files; the load speed is MUCH faster and the search capability runs like greased lightening. I'm also in the process of converting newer version of the Bible to TomeRaider format (even though I probably can't share it at this point). I've got the New Testament done (It took about an hour to reformat and tweak.). The file size was reduced by more than 40% and it loads immediately (as opposed to about 60 seconds in Data format)."

What a fabulous program. Absolutely stunning. Superlatives simply do not do it justice. Congratulations!

"I just want to say that TomeRaider is by far the best reason for owning a CF card. Its flipping brilliant!! I got a 32 meg card just to hold the encyclopedia and the Movie database.
Thats All,
Marcus
